How the rates are worked outFrom shop listing to the rate in your estimate, in five steps
  1. Each week Suny reads the public prices of solar panels, lithium batteries and inverters from Nigerian shops, and price lists suppliers send. Only pages a site allows are read.
  2. Each listing’s size is read from its name, and its price divided by it: a ₦75,015 panel of 450 W is ₦75,015 ÷ 0.45 kW = ₦166,700 per kW. Kits, lead-acid batteries, accessories, sizes outside home use and prices far from the rest are left out.
  3. The shop middle (median) is taken from what’s left, from the last 60 days, needing at least 8 prices.
  4. The installation markup adds mounting, cabling, protection, labour and the installer’s margin: ×1.25, a planning figure until enough installer quotes on Suny measure it.
  5. A Suny estimate multiplies these rates by the system’s size. Your installer confirms the real equipment and price after a site survey.
