Solar planning for homes and small businesses
A clearer path from energy need to completed solar installation.
Tell Suny what you need to power. Get an indicative system estimate, compare itemised proposals from suitable installers, and follow the work through handover.

See what was checked — and when
Before an installer can quote installation work, we check their certification, business registration and identity, and date each check. We show the three facts separately, not collapsed into a single badge, and a Suny check is not a government endorsement.
Professionals still working toward certification can appear on Suny and contribute to projects under a certified lead, but can't act as the responsible installer on installation work.

Your project record
What stays visible through handover
- Itemised quotation
- Agreed milestones
- Handover evidence
- Warranty and aftercare records
The project record is the version everyone works from — you and your installer see the same quotation, the same agreed milestones and the same handover evidence. It stays after the work is done, so a warranty claim or a service visit later starts from one dated history instead of memory.
Frequently asked
How do I know the installer is qualified?
Their profile shows each check separately — identity, training credentials and NEMSA certification — with the source and the date it was checked. Only a business whose responsible technical lead holds a current NEMSA certificate can quote installation work.
What if the work goes wrong after installation?
Your handover evidence, equipment details and warranty documents stay in your project record, and you can raise a servicing request against that record. The installer remains responsible for workmanship and the manufacturer for equipment.
How much does this cost me as a customer?
Nothing. Describing your needs, getting an indicative estimate, being matched and following your project are free, and nothing is added to your project price.
How do payments work?
You pay your installer directly, on the terms in your quotation. Suny records each payment against the milestone it belongs to, so you and the installer share one agreed history. Suny does not hold your money and does not release it on your behalf.
Is the estimate the same as my final price?
No. The estimate is a starting point from what you tell us — a system direction and a cost range. Your final price comes from an installer's itemised quotation after a site assessment.
